Companies on Teesside will be battling for glory after being named on the shortlist for the final heat of the North East Business Awards 2020.

A total of 28 firms will compete in 11 categories when the Teesside Business Awards take place at Middlesbrough College on March 26.

The event follows the Northumberland and Tyneside heat, which took place at the end of February, and the Durham, Sunderland and South Tyneside awards taking place tomorrow.

The winners from each heat then compete in the overall regional final at Hardwick Hall, near Sedgefield, on April 30.

Last year Middlesbrough training firm Lexonik was named Teesside Company of the Year, while other winners included Cubic Transportation Systems and º£½ÇÊÓƵ Pods - both of whom took home two awards.

This year, Hartlepool’s Hodgson Fish and J&B Recycling Ltd will up against Stockton developer Mandale Homes in the race to be named Company of the Year.

Other companies up for awards include Ithica Films, Teesside Park, Hart Biologicals and Newham Grange Farm.

Anyone wanting to reserve a place at the event should contact Dawn Owens on 0191 201 6430 or dawn.owens@reachplc.com.
