A Black Country security firm has been acquired by a rival in the North West.

Willenhall-based Security Hardware, which is part of the Eurocell group, has been bought out by UAP, a specialist in locks and hardware for doors and windows headquartered in Whitefield, Greater Manchester.

Established 15 years ago, Security Hardware specialises in hardware for domestic PVC-U doors and windows which is supplied online and through more than 200 Eurocell branches across the º£½ÇÊÓƵ.

The undisclosed acquisition will significantly expand UAP's offer to customers, adding new products to its range and strengthening its geographical reach through Security Hardware's distribution centre in the West Midlands. The deal will also see UAP supply its entire portfolio to Eurocell's branches.

Mitch Masters, procurement director of Security Hardware, said: "There were obvious synergies with UAP which made this acquisition a natural next step for our business.

"Combined, our product range is one of the most diverse on the market, enabling us to target a broader customer base right across the º£½ÇÊÓƵ.

"Maintaining the partnership with Eurocell branches will also ensure that, as a group, we can continue to support local businesses."
