Boris Johnson said he expects to see a gradual return to the office-based work life but for many firms, things will never be the same again.

Many have already said they will adopt a hybrid style with working home still in the mix for part of the week.

But what are the rules exactly and can you refuse to return to the office - BusinessLive takes a look at some of the key questions about working life post lockdown.

What changes on July 19?

The Government's work from home message comes to an end when restrictions are lifted in England on 19 July as part of stage four of lockdown easing.

However, Prime Minister Boris Johnson recommended in his speech on Monday July 12 that there will be a "gradual return to work".

And there is no doubt that the pandemic really has taken a bite out of the High Street.

But a wholesale return is unlikely, with , citing better work-life balance and cost cutting in large office accommodation.
