What is being billed as the region’s biggest business festival kicks off this morning.
The 2021 Leicester Business Festival will see 90 events held across the city and county over the next two weeks.
Subjects being addressed will range from sports entrepreneurship to future proofing Leicester’s fashion industry and sustainable business travel.
Headline Partner, De Montfort University is running 17 events on subjects including creating a winning work culture and digital transformation with Lego Serious Play.
Other events will see representatives of the Lionheart Educational Trust discussing why it is important that local businesses support the future of young people.
That event includes speakers from Mattioli Woods, Creed Food Services, Aspire Recruitment Agency and Schoolwear Solutions.
On Tuesday 9 November, the Federation of Small Businesses will demonstrate how PR done well can attract positive media attention, increase sales and create a positive relationship between businesses and the public.
And on Wednesday November 17, business energy and utility consultants the Consultus International Group will host a discussion looking at sustainability measures and Net Zero journeys.

BID Leicester has partnered with the festival to offer event-goers the opportunity to visit a ‘Refuel Hub’ to rest and grab something to eat or drink in between events.
There are 13 Refuel Hubs across the city which are offering discounts or benefits such as free Wi-Fi.
Simon Jenner, director at BID Leicester, said “Leicester city centre has a great range of cafes, bars and restaurants and BID Leicester is encouraging LBF event attendees to take advantage of these through our Refuel Hubs.
“There are some great events in the festival programme, but we know that relationships are often best built and contacts made over a coffee, some lunch or a post work drink.
“The Refuel Hubs are also great locations to get a bit of work done using the Wi-Fi between events so some and check them out.”
