Record financials for Cardiff-based TC Consult

In its last financial year it drove revenues by 12%

Paul Tambini, director of TC Consult.

A Cardiff-based project management, quantity surveyor and cost consultancy practice has announced record results.

For its financial year to the end of January this year TC Consult, which was established 19-years-ago, grew revenues by 12% to £904,000 – while maintaining a strong Ebitda margin.

In the past year, the consultancy has expanded its staff from 10 to 14, welcoming two new quantity surveyors, a project manager and an executive assistant, significantly increasing its capability to meet client demands.

The growth follows a shareholder buy out by Paul Tambini in 2023, achieved with funding from the Development Bank of Wales, which saw him becoming the sole owner of the business.

Reflecting on the firm’s growth figures, Paul Tambini, director of TC Consult, said: “This past year has marked a significant milestone for us, not only financially, of course, but also in how we’ve strengthened relationships with our clients and fostered a culture of collaboration and commitment internally.

“By investing in our team and innovative technology, including the use of AI, we’re ensuring we consistently deliver beyond expectations for our clients.”

TC Consult has developed a particular specialism in working on listed buildings and heritage projects.

One of the major projects it delivered last year was the multi-million-pound refurbishment of Wrexham's General and Butchers markets, both grade II-listed buildings. The projects involved transforming the historic market spaces into modern facilities for food and dry goods traders, while preserving their architectural significance. The scheme was delivered in collaboration with SWG, Lawray Architects, CWC and SP Project.
