An IT provider which pledged to ‘grow its way out of Covid-19’ has recruited 12 new employees in the last four months.

Stafford-based 848 Group has created the new jobs across a number of areas including its managed services, business solutions and sales departments.

The company implemented the recruitment strategy after retaining and winning a ‘significant amount’ of work up and down the country, and helping businesses to secure their IT infrastructure, during lockdown.

Group technical director Dave Burn said: “848 Group continues to expand in every division and the new employees show a continued commitment to being a full-service IT provider.

“Growing our team not only adds depth to 848 Group, but it has significant benefits for customers as we are now a one-stop shop. This also provides significant opportunities for employees to discover new skills and focus areas.”

Account director Andy Parr, business central consultant Gurnek Uppal and solutions architect Harikumar Nagappan are just three of the 11 new recruits to have already joined – with the 12th due to start in September.

Andy has re-joined the 848 Group sales team after initially joining the company in March 2019.

He left the company after seven months after receiving the news that his father had terminal cancer.
