Primary care developer and investor Assura Plc said it had expanded its portfolio and pipeline in the third quarter as it reported 鈥渃ontinued strong performance鈥.
The developer, which has a portfolio of 563 properties, said it completed six acquisitions during the three months ended December 31 at a cost of 拢31.1m.
Assura told investors its immediate acquisitions pipeline increased to 拢96m, up from 拢65m in September 2019.
Its development pipeline also increased to 拢90m in the period, up from 拢72m reported in September 2019.
The period also saw Assura complete a development in Stow-on-the-Wold, Gloucestershire. It is currently on site with 13 developments at a total development cost of 拢66m.
Chief executive Jonathan Murphy said: 鈥淲e expanded our market-leading portfolio with the acquisition of six high quality assets and completed our third development of the year in Stow-on-the-Wold.
鈥淲e also grew our immediate pipeline of acquisition and development opportunities, reinforcing what was already our strongest in 10 years, to 拢252m including 13 developments currently on site.
鈥淲ith the new Government enshrining in law increased funding for the NHS and taking forward the health infrastructure plan, better primary care facilities for patients, staff and services are at the heart of the agenda.
鈥淚n this context, Assura is well positioned to deliver high-quality assets and value for money for the NHS.鈥
Assura also reported a 鈥渞obust鈥 balance sheet, with gross debt standing at 拢787m, with undrawn facilities of 拢280m.
