PR and production company Working Word has moved to larger offices in Cardiff Bay on the back of new clients wins and growing revenues.

It has acquired a 999 year leasehold interest in a 2,532 sq ft office unit at Sovereign Quay. The property was being marketed by Savills for £350,000.

The firm, which was acquired in a management buyout by its directors Daniel Tyte and Caroline Holmes in 2016 and the only solely Wales-based agency in PR Week’s top 150 º£½ÇÊÓƵ agencies for 2023, generated revenues of £2.2m in its last financial year.

Its 25 strong team has designed and delivered a range of high profile campaigns over the past twelve months. Working with the central bid team at the Football Association, it was the lead communications agency for the submission of the successful º£½ÇÊÓƵ and Ireland bid to host UEFA Euro 2028 tournament. It will see games played in Wales at the Principality Stadium.

Further campaigns have been activated for motoring brand MG, global diagnostic firm PerkinElmer, the º£½ÇÊÓƵ Government’s British Business Bank, Companies House, Welsh Government, Public Health Wales, Irish-Welsh tourism partnership Celtic Routes and Media Cymru.

Following an acquisition in 2016 to bring film production in-house, the agency has now branched out into independent production with a raft of documentaries commissioned by BBC, including the 13-part Margins to Mainstream with Michael Sheen which was sold to BBC America. A new Christmas commission has been won with BBC Radio Wales.

The agency continued its relationship with the Homeless World Cup, an annual international tournament which aims to end homelessness through the power of football, sending a team to volunteer in the communications team at the 20th edition of the tournament in California in July.

The design and fitout of its new office was overseen by Rowan Mill. UHY Hacker Young advised on financials and Hugh James on the legal work.
