Family-run residential developer Llanmoor Homes has unveiled plans for an up to 850 new homes scheme in Bridgend.

The £250m development, subject to planning, would be delivered over a 10-year period on 90 acres of land on the western edge of the town, between Bryntirion and Laleston.

The Parc Llangewydd development includes plans for a new primary school as well as public open space and a multi-use games area.

Some 20% of the homes would be designated as affordable housing and transferred to a local housing association.

It is expected that 382 homes will be built in the first phase of the development, for which a planning application was submitted to Bridgend County Council this month. If approved work on the first phase of Parc Llangewydd would commence in the autumn of next year.

The site was allocated for development in Bridgend Council’s local development plan, which was adopted in March, 2024.

Tim Grey, sales director at Llanmoor Homes, said: “We are proud to be unveiling plans for this exciting development, which will bring much-needed housing to Bridgend.

“Once approved, it will be the second largest development we have undertaken, and our largest in Bridgend.
