Plans for more than 430 new homes in Birmingham have been given the green light.
The Galliard Apsley Partnership - a joint venture between Galliard Homes and Apsley House Capital - has won approval for a new residential development of 438 homes in Balsall Heath.
The proposals will see a mix of two, three and four-bedroom town houses and one and two-bedroom apartments built on a 12-acre site which fronts the A450 Belgrave Middleway and the A435 Haden Way.
The site was previously occupied by Joseph Chamberlain Sixth Form College and Birmingham Sports Centre but has been vacant for more than 20 years.

The Galliard Apsley Partnership plans to regenerate the site to create a new neighbourhood, called Belgrave Village, which will also boast private and shared courtyard gardens, landscaped public realm and a linear park as well as 263 parking spaces and 670 cycle spaces.
Belgrave Village will be divided into three distinct neighbourhood areas, with the Sherborne and Haden areas providing a mix of terraced housing and the Belgrave area comprising two apartment blocks with a landscaped internal courtyard.
As part of the plans, two new vehicle access roads will be created on Sherbourne Road and Haden Way.
