AI property firm Planna has opened an office in Cardiff to support ambitious growth phase beyond its
London base.

Since launching in 2023, Planna is transforming the way homeowners, insurers, lenders and partners understand and care for properties. Its AI-powered rating system assesses a property’s condition, identifies potential risks, and highlights opportunities for improvement. This enables homeowners and industry partners alike to be proactive in managing their properties.

Cardiff will serve as a centre for Planna’s long-term growth, with the company actively building a local team and creating new roles across multiple departments. It sees Wales’ thriving insurtech and fintech sectors as key drivers to its development.

Its chief executive Alain Hanash, said: “We’re thrilled to open our new Cardiff office and join its vibrant tech ecosystem. With major businesses headquartered in close proximity, we are looking to strengthening partnerships in the region, as well as tapping into Wales’ highly skilled talent pool.

“This is a really exciting step in Planna’s journey as we continue to scale our technology and deliver on our mission to transform how property decisions are made.”

The firm’s new Cardiff office, at Desg in Park Place, employs six with nine more hires planned this year.

Meanwhile, land, consent management and stakeholder engagement practice, Ardent, has opened an office in Cardiff as part of its wider expansion plans.

The firm, which provides a range of services on some of the most significant infrastructure and regeneration projects across the º£½ÇÊÓƵ and Ireland, already has a presence in Birmingham, London, Leeds, Manchester, Warrington, Glasgow and Dublin.
