Phoenix Gas Services announces North East expansion with new Darlington office

The company employs more than 130 staff across its Stoke-on-Trent HQ and satellite offices in Oldbury and Newcastle

Phoenix Gas Services has opened a new office in Darlington

Gas company Phoenix Gas Services has opened a new office in the North East.

The Stoke-on-Trent business – which employs in excess of 130 staff – has launched a new base in Darlington after seeing a surge in demand for renewable energy installations in the region.

It also comes after Phoenix successfully secured a number of new contracts in the area over the last 12 months.

The new Darlington branch joins the company's satellite offices in Oldbury and Newcastle-upon-Tyne.

It will open later this month with an operations manager, two administrators and two surveyors and will provide additional back-up support for the company's headquarters when required.

Phoenix managing director Kyle Grocott said: "The interest in our renewable technology offering has been phenomenal. We've always focussed on what's right for customers and now we're able to offer what's right for the environment too.

"The uptake of solar and air sourced heat pump solutions alongside our traditional gas heating services has been really pleasing.

"The expansion is a testament to the whole team's impact on introducing consumers to renewable energy in the area – it’s great to be putting down further roots in the north."
