National chartered surveyor firm, Bruton Knowles has appointed Donna Alderson as associate, while opening its 15th 海角视频 hub on Tyneside.

The independently-owned firm has expanded in the North East on the back of growth in its National Valuation Team. Its new base at Cobalt Business Park is occupied by about five staff, including Ms Knowles, who brings 17 years' of experience to the role having worked at Newcastle City Council and firms such as Edisons and BNP Paribas.

Ian Pitt, head of the National Valuation Team, said: 鈥淥ver the last year we have seen a huge amount of growth in the National Valuation Team across the country, so this next step was to open a hub in the North East of England, to help us extend our services to customers in the region. In appointing Donna as our new associate, installing Nicholas Broadway as our head of hub in Newcastle and the hub hosting our bids manager Samantha Mitchell, our clients should look forward to receiving an even better service from our team."

Andrew Jordon is set to become Northern Education Trust's new deputy chief executive officer.

Education charity Northern Education Trust has announced Andrew Jordon as its new deputy chief executive officer.

Mr Jordon takes up the role with the not-for-profit organisation from April 1. He started working with the trust as executive principal in 2015, following four years' as a headteacher at Dyke House School in Hartlepool.

He was later promoted to senior executive principal in January. As National Leader of Education, he also has experience in developing the wider school system and has worked in a number of schools outside of the trust, including Priority Area work for the DfE in Newcastle, Hartlepool, Tameside and Salford.

Mark Sanders, chair of the Northern Education Trust Board said: 鈥淚 am delighted with Andrew鈥檚 appointment. His performance with the trust, particularly in the secondary phase, is highly impressive. Insulcon Technical has expanded its manufacturing capacity with a series of hires.

Oilfield insulation specialist Insulcon Technical has strengthened its manufacturing team with five new hires.

The North Shields-based firm has appointed experienced technical machinists, Tracy Stephenson, Lucica Stan and Raimonda Howell, along with shop floor operator, Sean Barber, to increase capacity within its manufacturing operation. The four will support the production of Insulcon's insulation and passive fire protection systems used by oil and gas industry customers to protect pipework and other equipment from jet fires, temperature extremes, noise and corrosion.

Meanwhile Geraldine Allan has been appointed as health, safety, environment and quality (HSEQ) manager to make continued quality improvements across the business. Ms Allan has worked across a range of safety critical industries, including as a practitioner of the Chartered Quality Institute.

Chris Evans, managing director at Insulcon Technical, said: "Our new team members will enable us to increase our manufacturing output, allowing us to capitalise on some lucrative new business opportunities opening up. We are looking forward to working together to drive the business forward."

Avison Young Newcastle has announced the promotion of Jamie Sim as associate director in their Capital Markets team.

Mr Sim joined Avison Young in 2017, initially working within the professional valuation section before moving to the Capital Markets team in 2020. He has been involved in a number of the region's highest value property transactions including the sale of BAE Systems at Washington, the acquisition of Wellbar Central in Newcastle and the sale of Cobalt 16.

Teesside's px Group has announced the appointment of Tracy Wilson-Long as its new managing director of power and renewables.

Originally from Teesside, Ms Wilson-Long brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously held strategic leadership positions at BP Exploration & Production and Exergy Solutions, working on global large-scale projects across North America, Europe, Asia, and Africa. She has recently worked in the Canadian clean technology market, helping start-ups with commercialisation. She succeeds Neil Grimley, who has been with px Group for more than three decades and will now transition to the role of group business development director.
