Business advisory firm Ryecroft Glenton (RG) has appointed Chris Potter as its newest partner.

Mr Potter joins RG鈥檚 audit and assurance service line, bringing expertise gained from a range of businesses in the North East and further afield, and his appointment takes RG鈥檚 total number of partners to 14. He began his career at KPMG in the city before joining PwC after a decade. In 2014, he moved to Tait Walker, which subsequently became Azets, and throughout his career, he has worked with owner-managed businesses, private equity-backed firms, and 海角视频 subsidiaries of overseas groups, in various sectors.

NEL Fund Managers has appointed Judith Hartley and Trevor Castledine to its board as part of its strategic plan to further develop the business and attract additional investment.

Ms Hartley is the former CEO of British Business Investments and British Patient Capital, the two commercial investment subsidiaries of the British Business Bank. She has more than 35 years鈥 experience in the financial services sector, working initially in corporate and SME banking for Barclays and Bank of Scotland before taking on a number of senior executive roles within the British Business Bank.

Mr Castledine is chief commercial officer at LGPS Central, which manages the pooled assets of eight Central England Local Government Pension Scheme funds, and has extensive commercial experience gained in banking and finance roles across the Country. Formerly head of the portfolio management division at Royal Bank of Scotland, he moved to manage the investments of Lancashire County Pension Fund, subsequently becoming a managing director with investment consultant bfinance and an independent advisor to the 拢11bn South Yorkshire Pensions Authority.

Property consultancy Sanderson Weatherall has appointed Kyle Frith as head of sustainability. In this newly created role, Mr Frith will spearhead the firm鈥檚 sustainability initiatives and expand client service offerings.

He joins Sanderson Weatherall with six years of experience in environmental consultancy.

Hannah MacLeod is the latest new starter to join Newcastle-based Mincoffs Solicitors , which has welcomed 16 new staff members in the last year.

Ms MacLeod joins the employment team as a solicitor, where she will work alongside partner Nick Smith, solicitor Laura Liddle and trainee solicitor Jenny Luke. Originally from Nottinghamshire, she completed her training contract at Doncaster Council, gaining experience in litigation, employment, childcare, property and contracts, and accepted a position within Mincoffs upon qualification.

She said: 鈥淚 was keen to relocate to Newcastle once I finished my training contract and Mincoffs really stood out to me as a commercially minded firm. It was important to me to join a firm where I would be able to make an active contribution to the team鈥檚 success and I was particularly drawn to Mincoffs鈥 strong commitment to ESG principles.鈥

The Essity tissue mill in Prudhoe has announced a change of leadership following the retirement of its site manager who has become one of the best-known figures in the 海角视频 paper industry.

Tony Richards joined the company in 2001, having started his 43-year career in papermaking as an apprentice at a mill in Cumbria. He was made site manager at Prudhoe Mill in 2007 and later appointed to the Swedish tissue giant鈥檚 海角视频 country management team, with additional responsibility for its sites in the North West, producing consumer products such as Cushelle, Plenty and Velvet.

His successor at Prudhoe Mill is former head of projects Martin Hallissey, who worked for Procter & Gamble and Greggs before joining Essity in 2023.

He said: 鈥淭ony will be a hard act to follow. As well as being a popular boss, and well-known in the community in which he lived and worked, he was also a major figure in the tissue industry right across Europe. But, looking to the future, these are exciting times for Prudhoe.鈥

Travel Insurance provider Just Travel Cover has appointed Dale Robinson as a director to the board.

The company, which is based in Sunderland and specialises in travel insurance for people with pre-existing medical conditions and with no age limit, has appointed Mr Robinson to its board with immediate effect. He has been with the company since 2017 as marketing manager and head of marketing, and will sit as a director across the company鈥檚 multiple brands, overseeing marketing, brand development and direct partnerships.
