Business advisory firm Ryecroft Glenton (RG) has welcomed eight new team members across its audit, accounts and agriculture teams.
The firm has strengthened its audit team with the addition of Vashenka Naidoo and Anton Vassilounis as two audit seniors, while Emily Halsall and James Bell join the firm鈥檚 accounts department. Jake Macintosh and Connor Priest also join the audit department, and two trainees 鈥 Stephanie Roots and Alex Shipsey 鈥 are studying for their accounting technician qualification.

Newcastle housebuilder Bellway has appointed Shane Doherty as chief financial officer. Mr Doherty, who was the group CFO of Cairn Homes PLC , a company trading on both the Euronext Dublin and the LSE, until April 2024, will join Bellway on December 2 when he will be appointed as a member of the board. Before Cairn he held a number of other senior finance roles across sectors including CFO at Morgan McKinley and European finance director at Flutter Entertainment PLC, formerly Paddy Power Betfair PLC.
Mr Doherty said: 鈥淚 am delighted to be joining Bellway as chief financial ifficer. He will replace Keith Adey, who will be stepping down from his current role as group finance director on December 1. Mr Adey will remain on the board and will continue to have an active role in the business as an executive director until March 2025.

Sedgefield tech firm Filtronic has appointed Laurence Scullion as its new director of product engineering. Mr Scullion has over two decades of leadership experience in hybrid electronics, semiconductors, scaling manufacturing and innovative product development. Before joining Filtronic, he served as the back-end senior director at Pragmatic.
His appointment comes as Filtronic focuses on expanding its global footprint and boosting its technological capabilities.

Atom bank has appointed Ayshea Robertson as its new chief people officer. Ms Robertson joins from Zen Internet, the internet service provider, where she spent six years as CPO and board director. She has significant experience leading HR functions at a range of businesses over including at Bellway Homes, Technology Services Group and Newcastle Building Society.
In her role, she will drive innovation and performance and focus on the continued expansion of the bank鈥檚 initiatives in the North East to create opportunities and address the region鈥檚 skills gap, overseeing Atom鈥檚 programme of internships and mentoring opportunities for local students.

Two Newcastle-based lawyers who took different routes into the profession have qualified as solicitors into Muckle LLP鈥檚 agriculture, estates and rural property team. Anna Douglas has qualified at the end of her six-year solicitor apprenticeship and philosophy graduate Cameron Horton has completed his two-year training contract, both taking up positions in the firm鈥檚 specialist team.
Ms Douglas joined Muckle through the North-East Solicitors鈥 Apprenticeship programme in 2022 as an apprentice solicitor straight after completing her A levels at Emmanuel College sixth form.
Her work at Muckle LLP includes helping with rural residential purchases and sales, landed estate management, rural commercial leasing, energy projects and dealing with Land Registry applications.
Originally from Manchester, Cameron Horton studied philosophy at Durham University before taking the Graduate Diploma at the University of Law in Manchester. He advises on rural property development work, sales and purchases of farms and estates, land registration, minerals transactions and landed estate management work. He also has experience in the banking, real estate and dispute resolution teams.
