Firms from across the Liverpool, Manchester and further afield have wasted no time recently in making a host of key hires, as lockdowns ease further and business confidence returns to the region.

Businesses based all over the North West and in sectors from sport through to retail and finance have announced a flurry of appointments in the past fortnight.

Bolton Wanderers

Neil Hart, Bolton Wanderers CEO

The former chief executive of Burnley FC has taken up the same role at Bolton Wanderers.

Neil Hart, who is originally from Rochdale, takes up the position immediately having left his role at the club's Premier League neighbours in March.

He spent seven years at Turf Moor including a spell at the helm of the Clarets’ community programme, Burnley FC in the Community.

Prior to his arrival in East Lancashire, he played a role in developing a community engagement programme at Watford FC over eight years.
