A Scottish aerial inspection firm has expanded its º£½ÇÊÓƵ footprint by acquiring a business in the West Midlands.

PDG Aviation Services has bought out Team UAV in an undisclosed deal which it said would broaden its service offering.

Founded in 1995, PDG is headquartered in Inverness and also operates from bases in Cumbernauld, Dublin and Wolverhampton.

It provides aerial surveys, inspections and lifting services in support of critical infrastructure in sectors such as utilities, rail, telecommunications and renewables.

Team UAV was created 12 years ago and is based in Bromsgrove, specialising in inspections, surveys, response and data capture services using drones.

The company supports a wide range of sectors, including government agencies, construction, national infrastructure and emergency services.

PDG said the buyout deal enhanced its capabilities in aerial surveying, inspections and imaging which would provide its client base with a broader range of services.
