A global education group is aiming to buy more private schools around the world after securing an eight-figure funding package from HSBC.
Orbital Education was founded in 2008 and today educates more than 7,000 students at schools in Europe, Asia, North America and South America.
The Cheadle Hulme business has now secured a 50% increase on its existing eight-figure revolving credit facility with HSBC º£½ÇÊÓÆµ. The group used the earlier facility to acquire schools in Spain, Mexico and Albania, and plans to use the new funding to make more acquisitions.

Orbital says its founder and chairman Kevin McNeany “focuses on establishing international schools, colleges and nurseries, which offer quality education, mainly in the British style and tradition, to expatriate and host nation families in countries throughout the world.”
Orbital now has 13 schools, also including centres in Qatar, Hungary, Slovenia, Ecuador and China.

Just this month Orbital acquired the CEDES school in Albacete, Spain. Francisco Navarro Tercero, academic director at CEDES, said: “With Orbital Education, we will become a school of international renown, which will allow our students to enter the international and globalized context with strong preparation.”
