A card game branded “not safe for work” by its makers has become a hit on Kickstarter after smashing its target in 72 hours.

Newcastle start-up Make It Pop will soon release its second card game after fans successfully backed the company’s latest idea on the crowdfunding site.

Make It Pop’s original game was designed as a fun way to improve player’s creativity by challenging them to complete projects for a range of different clients, such as making a billboard for Apple.

The card game was designed to help creatives develop ideas and provide team building exercises for companies.

It raised more than £7,000 when it was crowdfunded in September 2018.

The latest Kickstarter will see the team develop an expansion deck for Make It Pop – called The (kinda) NSFW Design Thinking Game – that will give the game a more edgy theme.

Ade Lee, co-founder, said: “We’re design thinking advocates - the process of creating new and innovative ideas to solve problems.

“While its core is rooted in creativity, it is a technique that all industries and areas of expertise should be adopting - which is where Make It Pop comes in.
