Home heating firm Boiler Plan has announced plans to create 40 new jobs over the next year as part of an ambitious growth plan.

The Cramlington-based company was founded by qualified heating engineer Ian Henderson four years ago who aimed to change the way boilers are sold and installed.

Since then, he has grown from being a one-man operation with a laptop to a firm with a team of 62 staff, plus a national network of qualified installers and Gas Safe-registered engineers based across seven regions, driving up sales to an expected £7m this year.

The firm, which aims to help homeowners who might struggle with large boiler bills by providing affordable repayment plans for customers, is now on a mission to reach turnover of £30m in a strategy which will need more staff.

Boiler Plan, which also has an office in Goole, East Yorkshire, is currently looking to create an extra 40 jobs within its digital, engineering and installation teams  to meet the rising demand.

As well as domestic customers, it also deals with housing organisations and businesses and following a period of rapid expansion now covers almost 70%  of the º£½ÇÊÓƵ.

Its digital team provides quotes within 60 seconds and a boiler, covered by a warranty of up to 10 years, can be installed within 48 hours.

Payment plans are provided by Barclays and all work is fully guaranteed.
