Six companies from across the region feature in a list of the country's top 100 most profitable businesses over the past two years.
County Durham's Quantum Pharmaceutical ranked highest of the North East firms on the E2E Profit 100 List led by E2E and The Independent, coming at number nine on the table which was topped by petrol forecourt operator EG Group. The manufacturer and supplier of unlicensed medicines and hard-to-source products was followed at number 25 by Newcastle-based On Hire Limited, the Winn Group business which specialises in replacement vehicles and repair management solutions to victims of road traffic accidents.
Teesside-based liquid, gas, and dry bulk transportation firm Bulkhaul appears on the list at number 43, followed by Teesside and Tyneside-based mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering specialist Hewitson Group. Chester-le-Street's Gainford Care Homes Limited feature at 80 and the list is closed by Gateshead-based industrial equipment hire firm Gap Group.
The E2E Profit 100, the sixth and final track of the year, ranks business based on percentage profit growth across their two most recent filing periods, grouping the 海角视频's most successful privately owned companies that have achieved profits of more than 拢5m over the past two years. Organisers say it showcases companies that demonstrated entrepreneurial excellence and resilience in a challenging economic landscape.
