New property development company Hadrian Real Estate launches in Newcastle

The new PLC has been launched amid moves to make a positive contribution to the PRS market, especially in the North and Midlands

A new property development company has launched in the North East on a mission to make a positive contribution to the º£½ÇÊÓÆµ private rental sector (PRS) market.

Newcastle-based Hadrian Real Estate PLC is aiming to establish a portfolio of build-to-rent developments in key º£½ÇÊÓÆµ regions, predominately in the North and Midlands, generating high quality new homes for professionals.

A number of investments and capital partners, at a local and international level, are facilitating the company’s entrance into the PRS market and Hadrian Real Estate will operate under the stringent levels of governance associated with a Public Limited Company.

The board is led by chairman Andrew Marsh, who takes the role alongside his current position of group chair of global executive peer group organisation Vistage International.

He holds a number of chair and non-executive director positions with expertise governance and in providing strategic advisory support to scale-up businesses.

Mr Marsh is joined by non-executive director Rachel Turnbull, who is best known as the former chief executive of Tyne Tunnels operator, TT2 Ltd.

She has extensive investment and financial experience having held director roles at companies including at InfraRed Capital Partners and Semperian PPP Investment Partners and as a non-executive director of Darlington Building Society.
