New jobs on the way as TMT First eyes further growth

The company added 60 new staff to its payroll last year and now it needs to recruit even more

An award-winning company which has virtually doubled its workforce during the pandemic is continuing to expand 2022.

TMT First, based in Newcastle-under-Lyme, currently employs 120 staff but the technology repair business has started the year with plans to recruit at least another 20 in the next six months, to help deliver on new contracts.

The company enjoyed a successful 2021, adding around 60 new staff – including specialist repair technicians, customer services and warehouse staff – to its books after seeing more than 330,000 devices come through the doors for processing.

It also opened an on-site customer facing Samsung Support Centre, launched a new training academy and moved into an extra 20,000 square foot of space at its existing headquarters in Holditch Road.

This takes TMT's overall space to 43,000 square feet which the company says will help to support its ambitious growth plans.

Adam Whitehouse, who founded TMT First in 2006, said: "Despite the pandemic, business has been very good for us which we are extremely grateful for.

"We have doubled our workforce, taken on additional space which will help house our ambitious growth plans, and launched our technician training academy.
