St. James’s Place Wealth Management has welcomed the latest cohort to its Early Careers programme at the Cirencester head office.

Following a comprehensive interview and selection process, 15 apprentices and 11 graduates join the firm’s 2000-strong work force this week.

SJP’s Early Careers programme offers a number of career options for young people at different points of their education and has now welcomed 355 apprentices, graduates, industrial placements and internships since it began in 2012.

Apprenticeships are offered to those leaving school or college following their A-Levels or equivalent, within the Cirencester and London offices, working in departments including legal, technology services and investment operations.

Alongside their work they will study a qualification relevant to their role through a blend of self-study and online classes. As part of the programme, apprentices will also complete their Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award.

For those leaving university, there are two options: a rotational programme consisting of six, six-month placements in different departments such as corporate strategy, investment management and Asia business development, whilst studying for a Masters in wealth management.

Alternatively, they can specialise within one specific department whilst being given the opportunity to study qualifications associated to their chosen position. Both programmes can be completed in any location around the º£½ÇÊÓƵ and abroad, subject to role availability.

Nicki Williams, head of employee recruitment and early careers at St. James’s Place, said: “It is great to see another year of talented and enthusiastic individuals eager to start their career at SJP. Once again, we had an excellent selection of applications, and the cohort we welcome today are a testament to that.
