Car insurance to loans group Admiral has appointed Paola Bonomo as a independent non-executive director.

Ms Bonomo brings with her a wealth of international leadership experience in strategy, digital technology, and transformation. She spent 14 years in strategy consulting with McKinsey, specialising in technology and telecommunications.

She also spent 10 years in operational leadership roles in digital, including senior positions at eBay, Vodafone, and, latterly, Facebook where she was global marketing solutions regional director for Southern Europe.

From 2014 to April this year she was a non-executive director of AXA Assicurazioni - the Italian operating entity of the AXA Group, She also serves as vice chair of Italian Angels for Growth, where she is an angel investor and advisor to digital startups.

In her new role with Admiral, which is Wales’ only FTSE company with its headquarters in Cardiff, she will serve on its remuneration committee.
