Multi-faith party supplies business marks milestone year with major expansion plan

Peacock Supplies boasts a range of products from Islamic, Hindu and Sikh events to Jewish and Chinese New Year celebrations

A party supplies business has moved into a new warehouse after enjoying steady sales during lockdown.

Stoke-on-Trent based Peacock Supplies was founded five years ago by entrepreneur Sarah Gulfraz.

The company specialises in the supply of partyware - including balloons, decorations, lighting, tableware, gift packaging and stationery - for multi-faith and ethic events such as Eid, Diwali, Hannukah and Chinese New Year.

The business already counts supermarket-giant Morrison's and Landmark Group among its customers, but it is now looking to grow its client-base after investing in a new warehouse in Tunstall.

It has also expanded its range of products - which are all designed in-house - and relaunched its website after seeing steady month-to-month sales since March.

Owner Sarah Gulfraz said: "I'm extremely proud of what I've created with Peacock Supplies, which I've built from the ground up over the last five years.

"Faith-based and ethnic party supplies is a specialist market, that's not widely catered for in the º£½ÇÊÓƵ, so I am keen to continue to expand on our niche offer so it's even more comprehensive, and to build on our current number of big-name stockists.

"Business growth has been steady, and lockdown didn't have a negative impact, so I'm excited to be able to reveal details of our expansion to celebrate our fifth anniversary and to be able to further invest in developing our base in Stoke-on-Trent."
