Mowgli Street Food backer returns more than £100m to investors

The backer of Mowgli Street Food has returned more than £100m to investors since the launch of its North West fund , it has been confirmed.

Foresight Group made the payments through its North West Regional Investment Fund which completed three exits during the last 12 months.

The £58m fund was launched in 2016 and has backed 17 SMEs so far.

The exits included Manchester-based interpreting business DA Languages in December, Euxton-based Hedges Direct in February and Manchester's Clubhouse Golf in March 2020.

Fund investors, which includes the Greater Manchester Pension Fund, have now received cash proceeds in aggregate of 1.8x cost – more than £100m - with 14 investments still held in the portfolio.
