Peter Lynn & Partners Solicitors
Peter Lynn & Partners has appointed one of Wales’ leading lawyers as a new consultant.
Rob Cherry joins the firm’s company and commercial law team as consultant following a 30-year career in corporate law, specialising in mergers, acquisitions, management buy-outs, private equity investments and ownership succession arrangements.

A prominent figure in the Welsh legal landscape, Mr Cherry spent over two decades with the national law firm Blake Morgan LLP, where he served as the head of its corporate division, as well as a primary board member for the last ten years.
Senior partner Peter Lynn said: “The depth of Rob’s knowledge and his commitment to the legal field is truly inspiring. We are immensely proud to welcome such a renowned figure into our team, and his addition ensures our clients receive unparalleled advice and guidance when it comes to preventing legal problems."

Fast-expanding and Wrexham-based digital bank, Chetwood Financial, has appointed Ian Lonergan as its new group chair.
Founded in 2016, the bank is about to expand into the buy-to-let (BTL) mortgage lending market via its new ModaMortgages product.
Mr Lonergan, who has worked in financial services for over 30 years, was previously the chief executive and founder of Precise Mortgages, which grew to be one of the largest BTL and residential specialist mortgage lenders in the 海角视频.
Mr Lonergan, who has also held roles at GMAC, AMP and Ernst & Young, has been working with Chetwood on its ModaMortgages product since 2021, playing an instrumental role in the strategy, design and launch of the new mortgage business.
He said: “I am delighted to take up this new role. Working on the ModaMortgages proposition behind the scenes over the past two years, I have seen first-hand that Chetwood is absolutely committed to finding smarter, faster and simpler ways to help people financially. Newport-based property and finance business Harvey Bowes has made three key appointments. The company has appointed Tim Webber as its construction project manager to run development projects for its recently launched Harvey Bowes Real Estate, including the two grade II listed developments on Lower Dock Street.
The firm said it is looking to bring 37 new apartments to Newport across three developments with Tim playing a key role in delivering these. While Tom Evans has been appointed sales and lettings negotiator in the real estate team, alongside Dominika Majer who joins as sales coordinator.

Mon Timber
Leading timber supplier Mon timber has appointed three new branch managers across its Newport, Cardiff and Crumlin sites.
Steve Evans joins the newly rebranded Crumlin branch from Robert Price Builders Merchants, entering the timber industry through his new managerial role. The site has recently joined the Mon Timber brand, which is part of Premier Forest Products, enabling the branch to expand the product range available to customers.
Rhys Wilkins has joined the Newport Mon Timber site as branch manager, moving from the Cardiff branch where he has worked in the company for 19 years. He aims to push the site’s joinery capabilities while continuing to develop his relationships with customers and suppliers. In Cardiff, Steve Thomas has joined as branch manager from his previous role in sales with Premier Forest.
South Caernarfon Creameries
Welsh dairy co-operative South Caernarfon Creameries has appointed its first female board member. Malan Hughes will be the first woman to join the board since the formation of the co-operative in 1938. She replaces Gareth Jenkins, who retires from the board after 28 years.
Ms Hughes is a key member of the Veterinary team at Milfeddygon Deufor having graduated from Liverpool University in Advanced Veterinary Practice in 2016. She continues to study part-time to gain a postgraduate qualification in small animal veterinary.
She said: “The creamery has been very important to us as a family and I’m very grateful for this opportunity. I look forward to contributing towards the ongoing success and growth whilst ensuring the cooperative element of the creamery is recognised and strengthened.
“I’m eager to meet the producers and staff that I don’t know yet and I hope that all members are happy to have me represent them.”
South Caernarfon Creameries managing director Alan Wyn Jones said: “I would like to welcome Malan to the Board, particularly given she’s the first woman to be in this position. She will be a great asset bringing with her knowledge and expertise which will be important to SCC’s work.
“I would also like to thank Gareth Jenkins for his long serving commitment and valuable contributions whilst on the board and wish him a healthy and happy retirement.”
