Revealed: Further details of the tens of thousands of pounds owed by Norton Motorcycles when it went into administration

Further details of the tens of thousands of pounds owed by Norton Motorcycles when it went into administration can been revealed.

The Leicestershire motorbike business owed £31,180 to North West Leicestershire District Council, when administrators were brought in on January 29.

A Freedom of Information request from Business Live has revealed the amount is outstanding for the year ending March 31, 2020.

It showed that during the year Norton did pay £62,060 towards the total amount of £93,240 for the year.

The same FOI revealed that the Priest House Hotel, which was closely connected to the motorcycle business, owed £63,952.50 in rates for the same financial period.

That business had paid £27,374.37 of its annual total of £91,326.87.

Both businesses are based in Castle Donington on the Leicestershire/Derbyshire border.
