A Black Country lift maintenance and repair specialist firm has acquired a trio of businesses.

Kingswinford-based Deltron has bought out Liverpool outfit Abacus Elevators, Total Lift Care in Ormskirk and Bourne Lifts which operates in Wimborne.

This takes the number of acquisitions made by Deltron to eight since its management team of Scott Haywood and Lukas Schlenker took on minority investment from private equity house LDC last summer.

The undisclosed deals represent the next milestone in Deltron's acquisitive growth strategy, expanding servicing capabilities, increasing unit density and adding more than 770 new customers.

Director Scott Haywood said: "Making complementary acquisitions is a key part of our strategy to build a maintenance-focused national elevator service business of scale in order to meet growing demand for our services from SME customers across the º£½ÇÊÓƵ.

"Abacus Elevators, Total Lift Care and Bourne Lifts each bring highly skilled teams that share our commitment to exceptional service and deepen our presence across the country.

"With LDC's support and expertise, we're growing at an exciting pace and we're not stopping here.

"We continue to see potential acquisition opportunities in the fragmented industry as we focus on further expanding our reach and delivering even greater value to our customers."

Matt Newbold, investment director at LDC in the West Midlands, added: "Scott, Lukas and their team are scaling their business at pace - making eight acquisitions in less than a year that each complement and strengthen their offering, service and reach.

"We'll continue to support their ambitions as they look at further investments to drive their next phase of growth."

Law firm Higgs acted on the deal.
