More than 80 Yorkshire and Humber firms on list of º£½ÇÊÓÆµ's most inspiring companies

Companies from around the region make list compiled by the London Stock Exchange

More than 80 businesses from Yorkshire and Humberside have made it onto a list of the º£½ÇÊÓÆµ's most inspiring companies.

Firms including insurance group Hiscox, regeneration giants Harworth Group and Northcoast Seafoods are included on the London Stock Exchange's annual 1,000 Companies to Inspire Britain report.

The report lists the country's fastest-growing SMEs and highlights innovation shown by the companies involved.

Other Yorkshire firms to feature on the list include Caddick Group, Hainsworth, Zoo Digital and Pipers Crisps.

David Schwimmer, CEO of the London Stock Exchange Group, said: “This report highlights the vital role of SMEs in driving economic growth, leading innovation and providing jobs across the º£½ÇÊÓÆµ.

“In this challenging year for businesses, it is more important than ever to shine a light on these stories of resilience and entrepreneurship. The list is based on the growth in turnover over the last three years, with companies of between £6m and £250m eligible.

Nationally, the featured companies record average revenue growth of 41.2% and have created more than 42,000 jobs over last two years
