Architecture and construction consultancy YMD Boon has expanded its team with three new appointments.

The firm, which is currently involved in a number of high-profile projects across the region - including the joint Nottinghamshire Fire and Police Headquarters at Sherwood Lodge - has welcomed Kevin Cahill as a senior architect.

Also joining him at the Derby headquarters are architectural technicians Ghazaleh Hajijafari and Sandeep Sian.

Kevin has more than 32 years architectural experience, including design skills across a range of project types.

In his new role, he will be acting as project architect on an array of schemes such as Rushcliffe Borough Council’s new leisure centre and offices in Bingham, Nottinghamshire, which are due to start on site in summer 2020.

Ghazaleh Hajijafari, worked at two Iranian architectural practices before joining YMD Boon, and has experience as an architectural assistant, Revit technician and façade designer.

As an architectural technician at the firm, Ghazaleh will be responsible for Revit 3D modelling and presentations across a variety of projects and sectors.

She said: "YMD Boon has a great reputation and a well-known company culture within the industry, which feels like a great fit for my expertise and experience."
