A Merseyside printing company has been bought by ASL, one of the largest office services firms - the latest in a long list of acquisitions for the firm.

According to ASL, the purchase of Knowsley-based B&M Office Machines will further extend its provision of managed print services (MPS), giving its customers a more concentrated and enhanced level of service.

It’s part of ASL’s strategy to become the largest, independent MPS provider, and means its customers can benefit from a broader portfolio of services that include unified communications and production print.

Mark Garius, managing director of Cambridge-based ASL said, “It’s very exciting to kick off 2020 with a new acquisition. This is a very positive start to the year, and it increases our run rate to £43m, which we are extremely proud of.

“37-years in operation, B&M have an outstanding reputation and are a fantastic business, so we are very much looking forward to joining forces with them. It’s our mission to be able to provide impartial, independent advice for all business office requirements, and as we strive to be the largest independent MPS supplier, this acquisition enables us to utilise B&M’s expertise, combine it with our own – strengthening our service offering for customers.”

As the North West’s Premier Ricoh and Riso reseller, B&M Office Machines describes itself as a well established and experienced MPS business.

Based in Liverpool and the Midlands, it supplies photocopiers, printers and document solutions to customers in the Midlands and North West, with customers including SMEs, universities, schools, churches & solicitors.
