One of Manchester’s best-known digital agencies has a new name.

Code Computerlove will now be known as EM Code in a “strategic rebrand” following its seven-year integration with EssenceMediacom North, a division of the global advertising giant WPP.

The agency was founded in 1999 and has worked on web development, brand strategy and digital innovation with household names including BBC, Oxfam, Asda and Bentley.

EM Code and EssenceMediacom North work alongside each other at the WPP Manchester Campus in Spinningfields.

Paul Cooper, chief operating officer for EssenceMediacom North, said: “The rebrand to EM Code marks a significant milestone in our journey of integration and innovation.

“Modern brands face the challenge of managing an intricate network of digital touchpoints. With an increasingly difficult market, the emphasis is shifting towards the critical roles of retention and brand equity.
