More than 250 apprenticeship opportunities will be up for grabs at an event next month.

The West Midlands Apprenticeship Ambassador Network (WMAAN) is bringing together dozens of organisations to showcase their apprenticeship vacancies across a variety of industries – from hairdressing to construction, IT, sales and engineering.

Employers including KMF, JCB, Portmeirion and Ornua Foods are among the 40 organisations which will be on the look-out for new recruits at the exhibition at Vale Park in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent.

Other businesses in attendance on the day include Synectics Solutions, the NHS and Staffordshire Fire and Rescue.

Jenny Johnston, apprenticeship ambassador and training and development manager at Newcastle-based engineering firm KMF, said the exhibition is the perfect opportunity to find out more about the benefits of apprenticeships.

She said: "Apprenticeships offer anyone aged 16-plus a really interesting and exciting way into their chosen career.

"As well as gaining recognised qualifications and essential skills, apprentices earn a wage while working in their chosen field.
