Loss of Amazon contract leads to logistics firm collapsing and making redundancies

Redundancies have been made at a North West logistics company which was "unable to sustain its business operations" following the loss of a large contract with Amazon.

TVR Express is to close its two sites in Leyland and Winsford as well as make all four of its staff members redundant.

Rehan Ahmed and Tauseef Rashid of business advisory firm Quantuma have been appointed as joint administrators of the company.

Founded in November 2015, the business reported a turnover of £2.5m at the height of the pandemic.

Mr Ahmed said: "The last few months have been demanding for those working in the logistics industry and TVR is no exception.
