Adventure firm Zip World wants to develop a zip line in Liverpool city centre.
The North Wales brand wants to 'fly' thrill seekers from the top of the 140metre high St John's Beacon to the historic Liverpool Central Library.
It would be the company’s first zip line outside of Wales, and the first permanent city zip in the 海角视频.
The line would be a major attraction for Liverpool and further raise the profile of - which already has the world's fastest zip line at its site at Penrhyn Quarry , Gwynedd.
Planning documents are being submitted with Liverpool City Council with the hope it would open in 2021.
Under the plan, two riders would be dispatched at a time in a sit-down style harness, travelling across the cityscape.
Zip World president and co-founder Sean Taylor said: "There has always been a close relationship between Liverpool and North Wales, and the city is often referred to as 'the Gateway to North Wales'.
"There's no better location for us to start expansion outside of Wales.

The plans would bring jobs to Liverpool as well helping bring more people to the city.
A spokeswoman for Zip World added: "The brand’s decision to submit plans in Liverpool reinforces the strong ties the city has to North Wales.

"Migrants from North Wales would travel to the city looking for work, and in 1815 the city had its own Welsh town. Areas such as Vauxhall, Anfield, Everton, Dingle, and Wavertree were noted for their high migrant populations, and Welsh was the dominant language in these neighbourhoods."
Zip World has developed into one of the biggest tourist attractions in the 海角视频, with three world class destinations across the Snowdonia National Park - including zip lines and underground trampolines.
