Property services firm SDL Group has been named Nottinghamshire's fastest-growing business in a new report showcasing the breadth of industries which operate in the county.
The Nottinghamshire Growth Report has been compiled by accountancy and business advice group BDO LLP and includes manufacturing, retail and hospitality groups.
It is based on latest financial accounts available to researchers on July 9 this year and three years' of turnover are then taken into account. From this, a year-on-year average revenue growth rate is calculated.
Top-placed SDL, based in Chilwell, offers a range of services including property management, mortgage and auctions. According to the report it has a growth rate of 86 percent with its most recent turnover figure being £84.5 million.

The second quickest growing company was listed as Newincco 1382, which operates Le Bistrot Pierre restaurants. It achieved the same growth rate over the last two years but its turnover most recently stood at £32.5 million.
Some of Nottingham's most well-known businesses are also listed in the Top 50 with organisations including student discount group UNiDAYS (3), table-top gaming giant Games Workshop (7) and auction house John Pye.

John Pye, which is headquartered in Radford Road, has expanded rapidly in recent years with new showrooms at its Nottingham home and new auction houses across the country.
The firm, which celebrated its 50th anniversary last year, was listed 9th in the Top 50 with a growth rate of 34 percent and turnover of £17.5 million, according to latest available figures.

Other industries represented in the report include retail and wholesale, manufacturing and industrial and support services and transport.
But there is also a nod to Nottingham's growing technology and media businesses, which includes UNiDAYS, voice specialist Red Box Recorders (14) and biotechnology group Albumedix (33).
Software developer Ideagen, which provides safety, quality and document services, was listed as the 13th fastest-growing Nottinghamshire firm, with a growth rate of 28 percent and turnover of £36.1 million for the last available year.

According to the report, Nottinghamshire's fastest-growing businesses have generated a total revenue of £1.7 billion in the last year and achieved a growth of £350 million each year for the previous two years.
Retail and wholesale companies dominated the Top 50, with 15 businesses, followed by manufacturing and industrial groups.
Of the Top 50, 15 of the companies were based in Nottingham, followed by Mansfield with six and Beeston with four. Other areas represented included Newark, Lenton, Bulwell and Colwick.
Laurie Hannant, an audit partner at BDO LLP in the East Midlands who led the report, said: "Nottinghamshire has a history of innovation as the home of inventions ranging from traffic lights to ibuprofen, but this isn’t a county clinging on to past glories.
"The entrepreneurs and businesses based here have their sights firmly set on the future. Even though the businesses in this report are based in all corners of the county and work in a wide range of sectors, they are all striving for growth and powering the collective progress of the region."
