Angus Drummond, founder of Limitless Travel

A company which specialises in providing holidays for people with disabilities has raised £6.5 million in new funding.

Birmingham-based Limitless Travel will use the capital to expand its portfolio of destinations and invest in its technology.

The fresh round of funding has been led by US venture capital firm Beringea alongside Social Impact Enterprises, Adjuvo, Active Partners, Miroma Ventures and existing investors including Nigel Wray.

It comes as the Digbeth-based company celebrates its tenth anniversary.

Limitless Travel was founded in 2015 by Angus Drummond who was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy at the age of 22.

It has since delivered thousands of holidays and cruises to disabled travellers and now has more than 80 members of staff while revenue has risen by 350 per cent over the past three years.

Mr Drummond said: "This investment is not only a game-changer for our business but also for disability travel as a whole.
