Lifting equipment firm bought by Swedish conglomerate Axel Johnson as it bids to grow its º£½ÇÊÓÆµ market share

Axel Johnson International has bought Lifting Gear º£½ÇÊÓÆµ

A family-owned lifting equipment specialist has been sold to a Swedish conglomerate looking to strengthen its presence in the British market.

Lifting Gear º£½ÇÊÓÆµ, based in Skelmersdale, has been sold to the lifting solutions arm of Axel Johnson International.

The West Lancashire firm is the largest privately-owned lifting equipment provider in the º£½ÇÊÓÆµ. It was founded in 2007 in Leyland and has 12 º£½ÇÊÓÆµ depots stretching from Glasgow to Bridgwater in Somerset.

Axel Johnson owns 150 companies in 30 countries.
