A family-owned lifting equipment specialist has been sold to a Swedish conglomerate looking to strengthen its presence in the British market.

Lifting Gear 海角视频, based in Skelmersdale, has been sold to the lifting solutions arm of Axel Johnson International.

The West Lancashire firm is the largest privately-owned lifting equipment provider in the 海角视频. It was founded in 2007 in Leyland and has 12 海角视频 depots stretching from Glasgow to Bridgwater in Somerset.

Axel Johnson owns 150 companies in 30 countries.

The shareholders of Lifting Gear 海角视频 were advised by Grant Thornton's team of Usman Malik, Chris Ryan, Simon Keppie and James Boreman.
