A Leicestershire communications agency has received a five figure funding package to help it grow.

Write the Talk has received 拢75,000 to help it create jobs in the 海角视频 and expand in Hong Kong and America.

The business is based in the LCB Depot in Leicester鈥檚 Cultural Quarter, and has an operation in Hong Kong.

The funding was provided by Enterprise Loans East Midlands through the Midlands Engine Investment Fund (MEIF), supported by the Leicester and Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership (LLEP).

The business was launched by Anthony and Sue Madigan 14 years ago and works with clients to keep their staff up-to-date on company news, raise brand awareness and boost customer loyalty.

Clients range from small businesses to global corporations.

Managing director Anthony Madigan said: 鈥淲rite the Talk began its story in 2006, growing through word of mouth and networking.

鈥淚n 2017 we took advantage of the potential in the Asia Pacific market and today we see that same potential in the US market.

鈥淓xpanding internationally is a challenging endeavour and it takes time to establish and start to grow.

鈥淭his investment will enable us to employ more people here in the 海角视频 to meet demand.

鈥淚n the current economic climate, it鈥檚 hard to find willing investors for small business.

鈥淲e tried the traditional routes and were delighted when our bank introduced us to enterprise loans.

鈥淲e found them to be open to our growth plans and very supportive.鈥

Matthew Wright, business adviser at Enterprise Loans, said: 鈥淚鈥檓 delighted that we were able to provide valuable funding for Write the Talk.

鈥淚t鈥檚 a well-established business that has been built on networking and referrals so I can鈥檛 wait to see how the funding injection and subsequent marketing boosts the company鈥檚 success.

鈥淎nthony and Sue are incredibly passionate about what they do and, with a great pipeline of work and a high number of new clients, they are really in a great position to drive the business forward.

鈥淚 wish them every success for the future.鈥

Grant Peggie, director at the British Business Bank said: 鈥淚t鈥檚 great to see that through an MEIF investment, this business can accelerate its growth and expand into international markets in the USA and Asia, whilst also strengthening its position right here in the Midlands.鈥

Kevin Harris, chair of the LLEP, said: 鈥淏rand awareness and engagement is key for any business to grow in a competitive market.

鈥淲rite the Talk is therefore providing an essential service to its clients, and I鈥檓 very pleased that it has secured investment to boost its own growth for the future.

鈥淲rite the Talk is another great example of a business based right here in Leicestershire that is outward-looking and ready to target global markets.

鈥淚鈥檓 very proud that the LLEP has been able to support this grant, as a key partner of the MEIF.鈥

The MEIF project is supported financially by the European Union using funding from the European Regional Development Fund as part of the European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme 2014-2020 and the European Investment Bank.
