A Leicester marketing and communications specialist has reported a rise in annual turnover and profits despite the impact of Brexit and the coronavirus crisis.

Go Inspire Group said that in its latest financial year, profitability increased by more than 15% to just over £7.7 million, a rise of £1 million.

The firm also saw a small increase in year-on-year turnover.

During the coronavirus crisis, Go Inspire has been designated as a Covid-19 “critical supplier”, providing communications services to the Government and supporting the continuation of key national infrastructure bodies.

However, the firm has not been immune to the disruption caused by the pandemic and said that it does not expect volumes of business to return to “normal” levels until the autumn at the earliest.

In order to protect staff and contain operating costs, Go Inspire has leveraged the Government’s furlough scheme.

Meanwhile, capital works in progress continue. For example, the group is currently building a state-of-the-art finishing factory for its print business, called Eclipse.

Chief executive Patrick Headley said: “I’m delighted by last year’s results, which show such substantial growth in profitability, along with increased overall turnover.
