A Leicester marketing and communications specialist has reported a rise in annual turnover and profits despite the impact of Brexit and the coronavirus crisis.
Go Inspire Group said that in its latest financial year, profitability increased by more than 15% to just over 拢7.7 million, a rise of 拢1 million.
The firm also saw a small increase in year-on-year turnover.
During the coronavirus crisis, Go Inspire has been designated as a Covid-19 鈥渃ritical supplier鈥, providing communications services to the Government and supporting the continuation of key national infrastructure bodies.
However, the firm has not been immune to the disruption caused by the pandemic and said that it does not expect volumes of business to return to 鈥渘ormal鈥 levels until the autumn at the earliest.
In order to protect staff and contain operating costs, Go Inspire has leveraged the Government鈥檚 furlough scheme.
Meanwhile, capital works in progress continue. For example, the group is currently building a state-of-the-art finishing factory for its print business, called Eclipse.
Chief executive Patrick Headley said: 鈥淚鈥檓 delighted by last year鈥檚 results, which show such substantial growth in profitability, along with increased overall turnover.
鈥淚t is, I believe, just reward for a business that has continued to invest in its people and its technology.
鈥淚鈥檓 particularly pleased with the increased performance of our insight and digital businesses in the year just passed.
鈥淥verall, this has put us in a strong position to weather the current storm and come out even stronger as the national economy begins to recover.鈥
