The team at a Leicester events, brand and PR firm has been in Scotland this week to support the Government in delivering some of its COP26 programme.

Associate Events is the Department of Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA)’s official event partner, delivering exhibitions, conferences and awards celebrations at the global conference in Glasgow.

The DEFRA plans have taken months of negotiation and preparations, all the time having to work around the pandemic.

DEFRA is one of almost a dozen teams at COP26 which Associate Events has provided services to.

The business, which is based in Friars Mill, Leicester, works on projects including the Leicester Business Festival and helps organise the annual Team Leicester delegation to the MIPIM property conference in Cannes.

Managing Director Alister de Ternant said despite the pandemic the business had continued to expand its work across the º£½ÇÊÓƵ with new clients in sectors ranging from sustainable technology and property and construction to learning and development and leisure.

He said: “COP26 is a critical part of the conversation and race against climate change.

“We are extremely proud and fortunate to be working with DEFRA on this global event, supporting and advising them on all the challenges that come with it.
