A construction firm involved in building the new £30millon Sandy Park Hotel has become a sponsor of European rugby champions Exeter Chiefs.

Light gauge steel frame specialists Sigmat will be one of the current Premiership Rugby champion's official sponsors for the 2021/22 season with its name appearing on players’ kits.

The Leeds-based firm is currently working on the construction of the nine-storey Sandy Park Hotel near to the rugby stadium.

Sigmat said it was “keen to put something back into the local community” and saw the opportunity to sponsor the Chiefs as an ideal way to support grass-roots rugby as clubs start to emerge from the pandemic and lockdown.
