League One club Morecambe have refused to comment on a report they are in advanced takeover talks.
Following a story published by the Daily Mail, the club issued a statement saying it would be "inappropriate" to comment at this time.
They added that if a sale it completed, fans would be told.

A statement posted on the club's website said: "The club is aware of an article released today by the Daily Mail regarding a potential sale.
"At this point, we are not in a position to comment as it would be inappropriate to do so.
"Should any sale be completed, we will share this with supporters at the right time."
According to the report, the club are in talks with business tycoon Sarbjot Johal, who attended last weekend's 5-0 win against Burton.

Morecambe were put up for sale in September as their owners battled the on-going turmoil at their Premiership rugby side.
Jason Whittingham and Colin Goldring also stepped back from their positions as directors as Bond Group Investments Ltd prepared to sell the club.
The pair have owned Morecambe since May 2018 and also took control of Worcester Warriors in the West Midlands in the following year.
In November heavyweight champion Tyson Fury revealed he was considering a takeover while Morecambe said last month that "an issue" remained between the owners of Morecambe Football Club and a prospective buyer that was holding up a potential sale.
Sarbjot Johal is chairman of private equity firm Sarb Capital, which he is the sole owner.
