Here is our regular round-up of appointments and promotions at businesses across the East Midlands, with changes at some of the region’s big building societies, accountancy firms, marketing agencies, housebuilders and packaging companies:
Innes England:
Property valuation expert Martin Wilson (pictured above) has been made a director in the professional services team at Midlands agents Innes England as it continues its expansion.
Martin has built up a strong reputation for delivering large-scale instructions for private and public sector clients across England and Wales.

His role will be Midlands-wide, with a focus on the West Midlands and supporting director Adam Rock as the regional office celebrates a year of successful business with ambitious plans for this year.
He said: “It is a wonderful opportunity to use my experience to develop Innes England’s asset valuation side of the business and a really exciting time to join the company as it continues to flourish and extend its services.”
Martin’s career began in 2003 and, following his qualifications, he joined chartered surveyors Bruton Knowles where he completed compulsory purchase work for clients including local authorities and in the utility and infrastructure sectors.
Clayton & Brewill:
Nottingham-based chartered accountants Clayton & Brewill has promoted three of its senior team – Amanda Stefanetti, Rebecca Higginbottom and Adam Rostance – to directors, in line its succession plans.

Having obtained her ACA qualification at Newby Castleman, Amanda Stefanetti joined Clayton & Brewill in 2008, where she achieved FCA status. She works with SMEs and their directors, assisting them with accounts preparation, management accounts, VAT returns and company and personal tax returns.
Rebecca Higginbottom previously worked for Hyett & Langfield. When the firm was acquired by Clayton & Brewill in 2003, she continued in her account manager role and went on to achieve her AAT, ACA and FCA qualifications. She undertakes a range of accountancy services, including management accounts, year-end reporting, and personal and corporate taxes.
Adam Rostance joined in June 2012 as an AAT apprentice. After initially working in compliance, he transferred to the audit department as an audit junior, working his way up to accounts and audit manager. He now oversees a portfolio of clients ranging from small sole traders to large group companies.
V Formation:
Nottingham marketing and PR agency V Formation has promoted Amy Cooper to digital marketing account manager and Lucy Wharton to PR account manager.
Amy and Lucy joined V Formation on the Nottingham Internship Scheme after completing English degrees at the University of Nottingham in 2017 and 2018 respectively.
As account manager, Amy will continue to manage client accounts and lead creative campaigns for clients, specialising in the life sciences sector.

Redrow Homes:
The new boss of Redrow East Midlands says he is delighted to be in his new role.
Michael Coker became manager director of the division, based in Castle Donington, earlier this year having worked in the industry for more than 30 years.
He is trained as a chartered builder and has a first-class degree in construction management from the University of Leeds. His new role will see him take responsibility for driving the division forward, by securing land opportunities, launching new developments and overseeing the progression of a large team.
He said: “My father was in the business from the mid-seventies and as such I have always been around housebuilding.
“The varied and complex nature of the industry makes it interesting but also at times challenging and I love a challenge. The industry is full of fantastic people and some amazing characters.
“I am thrilled to be working for Redrow in my new role. The brand was built by an individual passionate about our industry, our product, and our people, and that is still true of the business today.”
He was previously chief operating officer for Kier Living/Tilia Homes.
Redrow East Midlands currently has eight developments across Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire.
Nottingham Building Society:
Nottingham Building Society has appointed Praven Subbramoney as chief lending officer.
Reporting to CEO Sue Hayes, he will lead the development and delivery of the mutual’s lending strategy and mortgage proposition driving innovation, transformation and growth as well as focusing on improving service to brokers and customers.
Since 2008, he has held a series of executive positions within First National Bank South Africa, part of First Rand Group, which is one of Africa’s biggest financial institutions.
In his new role he will lead The Nottingham’s mortgage business, including proposition development, mortgage operations teams and sales teams, with a remit to innovate and transform its mortgage proposition and improve service to brokers and their customers.
In March, The Nottingham reported a strong set of financial results for 2022, with gross mortgage lending up 18 per cent and profit before tax of £18.9 million, up £3.8 million on 2021.
Colton Packaging:
The Loughborough-based packaging specialist has appointed Laura Kalnina, Hayden Perry and Leigh Booth as new business development managers as the firm looks to strengthen its sales team and expand its customer portfolio.
The appointments form part of Colton Packaging’s ambitious growth plans. Following a move to a new facility in 2019, the team has embarked on an extensive warehouse expansion project to increase the footprint of its Leicestershire headquarters to over 65,000 sq ft, as well as a recent digital upgrade of its warehouse systems.
Laura Kalnina will be based in Desford with a sales focus on the East Midlands. She has five years’ experience of sales and stock control within the packaging film and contract packaging industry, and will be responsible for developing new client relationships while nurturing existing clients.
Hayden Perry joined Colton in May 2022 and is based in Leicester Forest East, focusing on the South Leicestershire and Northamptonshire region.
Nottingham-based Leigh Booth will be responsible for developing customer relationships across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Staffordshire, sourcing new business and developing accounts.
Nelsons:
Nelsons has expanded its Nottingham family law team to meet demand for its specialist services with an upward trend for enquiries relating to divorce and children matters.
The growth includes the recruitment of associates Emma Stamp and Jessica Rayns late last year, along with paralegal Polly Sanders who joined the team this month.
Partner and solicitor Emma Davies, who joined Nelsons in 2009, was appointed to lead the Nottingham and wider family team in 2021 and has continued to raise the team’s profile as one of the largest dedicated family departments in the region.
She said: “Nelsons’ family law offering has always had a strong presence in Nottingham, but interest increased significantly and has continued since the pandemic when family relationships were put under additional pressure. We have also seen more enquiries following the introduction of the no-fault divorce law in 2022. It’s therefore been a priority to look at expanding the team so that we can continue to deliver for our clients.“
Hospital Services Limited:
Following a recent £1.7m investment in growing their footprint including a new Derbyshire headquarters, one of the largest privately-owned distributors supplying the health sector in the 海角视频 and Ireland, has appointed Steve Leatherland as new 海角视频 regional director of operations.
Steve brings over two decades’ experience in the diagnostic imaging and healthcare sectors in sales and business development, operations, customer service and technical & supply chain management. He has worked with companies including Philips Healthcare, Carestream and most recently Fujifilm Medical Systems.
His role will focus in on the development of existing and new opportunities as HSL broadens its reach into health trusts across the country and introduces new technology.
Earl Shilton Building Society:
Earl Shilton Building Society has welcomed Elise Frost to its mortgage team at its head office in Leicestershire.
Elise is early in her career having previously worked as a recruitment administrator, where she learned many valuable skills and a love of data.
She said: “I very much enjoy admin/office working as I love routine and dealing with data. The opportunity to work with mortgages really stood out to me as a very maths-minded person, and therefore anything to do with money and data is something that I felt I could really thrive in.
“So far my time at esbs has been a pleasure; being able to learn something entirely new has been really enjoyable, but also the people who work here are so friendly and have really supported me in learning my way around the role.”
