A growing skip hire company is creating a handful of new jobs after seeing a huge boost in sales over the past 12 months.
Stoke-on-Trent-based DP Skip Hire Ltd has already expanded its workforce to a team of 30 following a huge increase in demand for its services – as more and more people turn to DIY and home improvement projects during the pandemic.
Now the company – which was established in 1995 – is looking to expand its team by another 20 per cent after launching a recruitment drive for six new employees.
It currently has vacancies for HGV drivers and yard persons to support the day-to-day operations of the Longton business.
The recruitment drive follows a 40 per cent increase in sales during the last 12 months and a significant investment in new machinery, infrastructure and trucks.
It also comes after a re-structure at the business which saw former D P Skip Hire managers Jon and James Price appointed as joint managing directors.
Jon Price said: "It’s fantastic to see how much the business has grown over this past year. We’ve invested in the business by adding new vehicles and machines to keep up with demand and to offer customers the best service possible.”
He added: "We're now looking to take that investment one step further by recruiting six new team members to support our continued growth – these are very exciting times for everyone at D P Skips."
