Companies based all over the North West have made a series of top hires and promotions over the last week.
Household names from JD Sports and EY have been among them as well as law firms and a turnaround specialist.
Below, we round up the latest hires and promotions that we feel you should not miss.

JD Sports
JD Sports has hired the CFO of Compare the Market's owner as its new finance chief.
Dominic Platt has been appointed as chief financial officer and as a member of the board and is expected to join later this year.

Mr Platt is currently CFO of BGL Group and has previously held senior finance roles at Darty Plc, where he was group finance director and managing director of international businesses, and at Cable and Wireless Plc both in the 海角视频 and internationally.
JD Sport's current CFO, Neil Greenhalgh, will leave the business later in the summer.
EY
EY has appointed Elizabeth Armstrong as an insurance partner in its Manchester office.
She joins EY from Royal London where she spent the last seven years as head of tax.
Prior to this role, she held a variety of tax specialist and managerial roles with Royal London after joining from Deloitte, where she initially trained as an auditor, before being seconded into a tax role.
She said: "I am really excited to join EY as it grows its insurance practice – the team is well respected in the market and I look forward to working with ambitious and talented new colleagues."
Naturecan

The chairman of M&C Saatchi 海角视频 has joined Stockport-based CBD retailer Naturecan, which is backed by Andrew Flintoff.
Richard Thompson has been appointed non-executive chairman of the firm based at St Petersgate.
Mr Thompson is also the chairman of the England & Wales Cricket Board.
Morecrofts Solicitors
Morecrofts Solicitors has made five senior promotions across its specialist teams.
Alison Williams has been promoted to senior associate solicitor, specialising in residential property, while Laura Monti and Ellie Slater have both been promoted to the role of associate solicitor, working in the litigation and family law teams respectively.
Liz Potter also steps up to associate legal executive in the matrimonial team and Emma McNamara has been promoted to senior paralegal, specialising in private client.
BGEN
Warrington-headquartered BGEN has promoted Simon Clarkson to the newly-created position of chief digital officer (CDO).
Mr Clarkson will be tasked with driving digital transformation across the business, which will include its new sustainability offering.
He said: "I’m really excited by this new opportunity and working with the wider senior management team to drive meaningful change.
"As a business, BGEN has a great opportunity to support the energy transition, and I’m looking forward to assisting from a digital perspective."
Urban Splash
Regeneration and property company Urban Splash has appointed former RIBA North director Suzy Jones as their first-ever director of the future.
She will be responsible for using "foresight and innovation to develop the purpose-led ambition" of Urban Splash and the strategy required to support it.
She said: "Director of the future is quite some job title to live up to. Much of the roles focus is on ESG, which is well embedded at Urban Splash so not too much of an uphill struggle."
Johnson Law Group
Johnson Law Group has promoted to Matt Raines to associate in Manchester.
Mr Raines joined in September 2021 as a chartered legal executive and advocate.
He said: "It’s been fantastic to be part of a growing firm with big ambitions, trailblazing the newest claim areas in consumer and mass litigation and I’m really looking forward to the challenges ahead."
Love Energy Savings
Bolton-based Love Energy Savings has appointed Alex Hughes as its new people director.
Alex joins the business from AO, where she was group head of talent acquisition.
She said: "I am delighted to have joined Love Energy Savings. “CEO Phil Foster’s high-energy, passion and entrepreneurial spirit really attracted me to the role."
Begbies Traynor
Begbies Traynor has added to its Liverpool office with the appointment of restructuring expert Stephen Berry as partner.
Mr Berry is a licensed insolvency practitioner and former solicitor specialising in corporate recovery and insolvency. He is also the president of Merseyside Corporate Recovery Professionals.
Prior to joining Begbies Traynor, Mr Berry launched and headed up the Opus team in Liverpool providing restructuring and insolvency services in the region.
RSM
Audit, tax and consulting firm RSM 海角视频 has announced two partner promotions in Manchester.
Julie Moore in the tax team and Sam Dalziel in corporate financed have been promoted to partner.
Kevin Duffy, RSM 海角视频’s regional managing partner in the North West, said: "Since joining the firm in 2020, both Julie and Sam have played an integral role in delivering our regional growth plans – using their expertise and leadership skills to support the needs of our clients in the middle market."
Interpath Advisory
Interpath Advisory has announced the appointment of corporate finance practitioner Heath Snyder as managing director in the firm’s Manchester office.
Mr Snyder has more than 25 years’ experience advising owner managers, private equity-backed companies and listed businesses, providing the full spectrum of corporate finance advice.
He said: "This is a really exciting time to be joining Interpath. The firm is an established, recognised, market-leading player in the advisory space which is continuing to invest in and build out its portfolio of advisory services both here in the North West, and across the 海角视频 and internationally."
Squire Patton Boggs
Squire Patton Boggs has hired Vanessa Stuart as a director into its restructuring and insolvency practice in Manchester.
She joins from Glaisyers, where she was head of restructuring and insolvency, and will be supported in particular by partners John Alderton and Russ Hill.
She said: "From the moment I met with Squires, I immediately saw the team’s energy and ambition.
"I am very much looking forward to being part of that, as the firm continues to grow its 海角视频 and global presence in the restructuring and insolvency sector."
